Basel, Geneva, Zurich to show off best practices

Three Swiss cities will mark World Expo history as they join hands for the first time in Shanghai next year to deliver an exhibit on water management under the banner of "Better Water - Best Urban Life."

With a 750-sq-m pavilion, Basel, Geneva and Zrich will highlight exemplary cases in managing Switzerland's waterways at the expo's Urban Best Practices Area.

Basel is well known for the 3 km of the Rhine it uses to showcase its model of sustainable water management, while Geneva is known for successfully revitalizing Lake Geneva. Zrich is famous for its natural purification and innovative wastewater management systems.
