Haibao knowhow

Q: Where did the electric telegraph come from?

A: The invention was shown to visitors at the first World's Fair in London in 1851. It was introduced as an electromagnetic telegraph that could transmit encoded text messages over wire by applying the principle of electromagnetism.

The first internationally standardized Morse code which allowed signals to be easily transmitted via the electric telegraph was introduced the same year. The code was developed by pioneer Samuel Morse, who had started creating the system years earlier during the 1830s.
