Police rape case reviewed

An intermediate court in Zhejiang province is reviewing a verdict that has allegedly given too lenient a sentence to two auxiliary policemen who raped a girl.

A judge surnamed Shen with Huzhou Intermediate People's Court told China Daily yesterday that the court is investigating the case after Nanxun district court announced a three-year imprisonment to the two accused surnamed Qiu and Cai on Oct 19, which caused wide criticism over its justice.
