Government plans for industry cluster become reality

Following several years in development, plans for a government-backed animation industrial cluster in Heilongjiang province, part of northeast China, have become a reality.

With a focus on making and distributing digital media products, the Heilongjiang Animation Industry (Pingfang) Development Center is seen as the mainstay of the cluster.

Revolving around a base in Harbin, the capital of the province, an extended animation industrial chain has rolled out across the region, embracing the disciplines of creativity, manufacturing, publication, distribution and out-sourcing, as well as research, production and merchandising.
