Flu alert level to go up

The South Korean government plans to raise the nation's disease alert level today against the H1N1 influenza from the second-highest to the top level as the pace of the virus spread is growing faster, health authorities said yesterday. An average 8,857 people were confirmed as having the Influenza A every day last week, up from 4,420 tallied the week before.
