Killers executed

A 34-year-old farmer, who murdered and robbed a homeowner under the premise of buying the apartment on March 5, 2008, was executed yesterday in Beijing. The man, named Yu Chunlong, went to the victim's apartment in Dongcheng district claiming to want to buy it. Yu took out a knife and when the victim resisted, he killed the owner. He also stole cash and a digital camera worth 6,100 yuan ($890). In another case, Tian Fenghu, who reportedly killed a stranger for excitement in Shunyi district in November 2007, was also executed yesterday.
