5 accused of doping victims

Five male Filipinos have been robbing foreign men in Shanghai by dressing as women and feeding victims a hypnotic drug, the Shanghai No 1 Intermediate Court was told yesterday.

The five feminine-looking men, aged 26 to 30, have targeted rich expat men in the street and fed them chocolate and beer containing a hypnotic, court heard. After the victims fell asleep, they stole credit cards, watches, mobile phones and cash. The five suspects were detained by Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau in March. The verdict is yet to be announced.
