Court judgment forger arrested

A woman who forged a court judgment and swindled 30,000 yuan from a father trying to save his son from a lengthy prison sentence has been arrested, the Beijing Times reported yesterday. The woman, surnamed Gu, ran a telemarketing company in Dongxiaokou town. One of her employees, surnamed Kong, was arrested in April for robbery. It is believed Gu told Kong's father she had connections with someone in court who could help Kong get released early, in exchange for money. Gu asked another employee to create a fake court judgment that said Kong's sentence was only 3-months-long. After discovering the true length of the sentence was in fact one year, Kong's father reported Gu to the police. Both Gu and her employee have been arrested.
