China Daily | Updated: 2009-10-27 08:37

BAGHDAD: The death toll from Iraq's worst attack in more than two years climbed to 155 yesterday as Iraqis buried the dead from the twin suicide bombings that devastated the heart of Baghdad.

Two Chinese citizens who worked in the Al-Mansour Hotel were injured in one of the blasts, and China's Foreign Ministry confirmed yesterday that some buildings in the Chinese embassy compound were also damaged.

Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ma Zhaoxu urged Chinese people, the embassy and corporations to pay more attention to security.
