Air force to host forum
The People's Liberation Army (PLA) Air Force will host an international forum next month to promote understanding among air forces of different nations, Lieutenant General He Weirong, deputy commander of PLA Air Force, said in Beijing yesterday.
More than 30 countries will send delegations to attend the forum, which will include 20 air force commanders and chiefs of staff. The event is one of a series of activities to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of PLA Air Force. The August 1 Aerobatics Demonstration Team of the Air Force will fly the J-10 fighter jet, one of the third-generation of jets made by China, for the first time during the performance.
