Zhang Yimou sues author

World-famous Chinese director Zhang Yimou, who directed the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games last summer, has sued the author and publisher of a book for "making up stories" about his romantic life.

Zhang is suing Huang Xiaoyang, the author of Chinese Impression: Zhang Yimou's biography, and publisher Huaxia Press for 1.5 million yuan, the Chongqing Morning Post reported yesterday.
