Director Feng Xiaogang has finally won top spots at the Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival, the Chinese mainland's premier film awards.
Feng was honored as the Best Director for his war flick The Assembly (Jijie Hao), which also won the Best Film, Best Cinematography and Best Music awards, in addition to nine nominations.
It is the first time he has won any honor at the festival, initiated by the semi-governmental China Film Association and the Popular Film magazine.
