The SinoHydro Corporation is one of the world's leading companies in the water conservation and hydropower sector. It is comprised of a group of 10 holdings companies, and a network of seventeen subsidiaries. The company also has an international network of 42 overseas branch companies and representative offices.

Sinohydro has developed into a large and diversified group as a result of its pioneering work in excavation, earthmoving, underground structures and dredging and reclamation projects - all of which have enhanced the "Sinohydro" brand in the global construction market. Now operating on a global basis, the company is a leading player in the building, civil infrastructure, mechanical and electrical plant manufacturing and installation sectors.

Backed by strong support from a number of institutional networks, including the China Exim Bank, the China Development Bank and the Construction Bank of China, as well as a number of supportive government policies aimed at boosting the globalization of Chinese State-owned companies, Sinohydro is now focusing on a number of infrastructure projects, potentially worth billions of dollars, and is seeking funds from Chinese sources, either in terms of loans or direct investment.
