China Daily | Updated: 2009-10-20 10:04

Trade between the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and China has doubled since 2004 thanks to the CABIS summit.

CABIS - also known as the China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit - provides platform for dialog within the business sector between China and ASEAN. It has been held annually since its launch in 2004.

Nanning is the permanent venue for CABIS, which is co-sponsored by China and the 10 ASEAN members and coincides with the annual China-ASEAN Expo.
