2009 Expo builds ASEAN familiarity and showcases host city

The sixth China-ASEAN Expo, known as CAEXPO, will showcase a variety of attractive products and appliances and display many of China's latest achievements to the world.

Opening today in Nanning, its major exhibits will include electronics, handicrafts, engineering equipment, food processing and packing machines, power facilities and auto parts.

As a State-level international fair promoting China-ASEAN cooperation, the annual trade event provides a unique outlook on the achievements of China's opening-up to the outside world, especially in its cooperative relations with the 10 ASEAN member countries, said Vice-Minister of Commerce Gao Hucheng at a planning meeting of the CAEXPO.
