College student tries helping drunk, detained
A college student was detained on suspicion of hurting a drunk man when all he tried to do was help him up from a street in Chongqing municipality on Tuesday.
According to an eyewitness, a middle-aged man, who had clearly had too many drinks, fell down on the street when a college student walking by tried to help him up.
The heavily intoxicated man got hold of the boy and started screaming for help, saying he had pushed him.
Police arrived on the scene and detained the boy, who was released hours later after investigations confirmed he was only trying to help.
Resident leaves TV on to fool burglars
A resident of Chongqing municipality left his television on before taking a trip back to his hometown during the National Day holiday to ensure burglars don't break into his house.
Li, one of the neighbors of the resident, said he heard the sound of the television through an entire day, which is why he phoned the resident, who told him exactly why the TV was on when he wasn't in town.

Female inspectors take streets to check littering
About 200 female inspectors, all of them in their 50s, have taken to the streets in Chengdu, Sichuan province, to discourage residents from littering.
"Female inspectors may show a stronger sense of humanity when regulating uncivil behavior and violators will take them seriously," said an official from the local urban management bureau.
