CUMT's centenary year

President Hu Jintao yesterday sent a congratulatory message to students of the China University of Mining and Technology (CUMT), which is celebrating the centenary year of its founding, calling for more talented students to work in the country's resources sector.

Premier Wen Jiabao, in a separate reply to a letter sent by the university's graduates working for energy-related industries in the country's western regions, urged them to devote themselves more to the development of these regions.
