Flame shines on Jinan

JINAN, Shandong province: After passing through 16 cities in Shandong province, the China National Games' flame arrived in Jinan, the province's capital and the main venue of the Games yesterday, elevating the 'Spring City' to a new high.

Jiang Daming, the governor of Shandong and director of the Games' organizing committee, said at the start of the Jinan relay leg that, "Shandong is more than ready to welcome the Games and the cheers for athletes".

A total of 152 torchbearers participated in the Jinan leg of the relay, which covered 7.2 km.
