Rival hits mayor's wealth
New York Mayor and billionaire tycoon Michael Bloomberg was accused this week of attempting to buy his reelection in a bruising first debate with his underdog opponent. Bloomberg, 67, remains popular after eight years at the helm and a recent poll put him 16 percent ahead of his nearest challenger, William Thompson, as he bids to win a third term.
