Smoking ban draft
A draft ban on smoking in public places was submitted to Guangzhou People's Congress Standing Committee, the local legislature, for review yesterday.
Under the draft, smoking will be forbidden at schools, hospitals, libraries, financial institutes, postal bureaus and Internet cafes. Violators will be fined 50 yuan, the draft says.
