By Tang Yue | China Daily | Updated: 2009-10-13 08:12

QINGDAO: China's sailors are looking to build on their success at last year's Beijing Games (one gold and one bronze medal) at the 2012 London Olympics, Li Quanhai, deputy director of the aquatic sports administration center under the General Administration of Sport, said.

"We are aiming at no worse a result than Beijing," Li said. "The achievement last summer has given us a lot of confidence."

Yin Jian won China's first Olympic gold medal in the women's RS:X class while Xu Lijia, winner of the Laser Radial single-handed dinghies event at the 2006 World Championships, bagged bronze at the Games.
