A Sudanese court yesterday sentenced to death four Sudanese nationals for killing a US diplomat and his driver in Khartoum in 2008.

The court reissued the death penalty after hearing the testimony of the relatives of diplomat John Granville, 33, and his Sudanese driver Abdel Rahman Abbas, 39, after Granville's family renewed its demand for death penalty against the killers, and after the family of the Sudanese driver has pardoned the defendants.
