Police provide more than protection for new family

Police in Benxi, Northeastern Liaoning province, provided salvation for a new family after they spent their life savings on the birth of a new child.

The couple was forced on to the streets after using their rent money to pay for hospital bills and powdered milk for their newborn baby. Shortly after the child's birth the husband discovered he had lost his job working with a local construction team.
