Agricultural-tourism forum

The first China agricultural tourism development forum will be held in Anji county, Zhejiang province, from Oct 24-26. The Ministry of Agriculture is sponsoring the forum with the aim of demonstrating how rural areas could boost local economies via tourism instead of creating polluting industries.

Official statistics showed agricultural tourism has employed 1.6 million farmers in 14 provinces by August and helped them gain more income.
