Lighting project finished

All lights in the newly completed Bailu Town Central Primary School in Pengzhou, Sichuan province, were turned on yesterday to celebrate the completion of a project funded by Philips.

The company invested about 5.3 million yuan ($780,000) to provide lighting equipment for 200 schools in Sichuan, a province hit hard by a magnitude-8.0 earthquake on May 12 last year. Yesterday morning also marked the inauguration of a country clinic in Bailu town funded by Philips with an investment of 2 million yuan.
