University officials nailed

Prestigious Wuhan University in central China's Hubei province confirmed over the weekend that its executive vice-president Chen Shaofang and deputy Party secretary Long Xiaole have been arrested for suspected corruption.

The university said in a statement on its website that Chen was arrested on Sept 13 and Long on Sept 26 for allegedly taking bribes. The two men are suspected of making illegal gains of hundreds of thousands of yuan in school construction projects.
