Scandal Makers
The family comedy by rookie Korean filmmaker Kang Hyoung-chul tells the hilarious trials of Hyun-Su (Cha Tae-Hyun), a former television actor-turned-popular radio disc jockey, whose enviable bachelor life is challenged when he suddenly learns he is a grandfather thanks to a young girl (Park Bo-Young) who has a son (Wang Seok-Hyun) and claims to be his daughter.
Hyun-Su forces the girl to stay in his home and offers to provide for both her and her son in exchange for her silence.
Bonds are developed between the three, but the three-generation household soon reveals Hyun-Su's selfish bachelor ways, and the lines of communication begin to break down.
The low-budget film proved to be a hit last year upon its release back home in Korea, where it ran for months, selling over 8 million box office tickets. The movie has also attracted a Hollywood remake by director Barry Sonnenfeld.

The Message
Due to its star power and suspending storylines, the film has received wide attention. Set in China in 1942, when it was occupied by the Japanese, the film centers on a Japanese spy working to identify a Chinese agent from a group of suspects.
