Good food, pretty clothes

The name Mellow Tea has become synonymous with authentic Taiwanese food in Beijing. But of its four branches around town, the one in Soho New Town is popular not only for its food, but also for its owner-manager, Zhang Zixuan.

Many people come here to see Zhang and take a picture with her, for she is an exclusive model for Rayli, a well-known women's fashion magazine, and also a popular blogger.

"I used to have meals at Mellow Tea in Jianwai or Shangdu after work. Rice with Stewed Drumstick (25 yuan) is my favorite." When she got to know the Taiwanese designer-owners, she decided she wanted to start something similar. That is how the Soho Town branch was born.
