Men's Dance for Women by Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo will stage its world premiere in Shanghai. Presented by Jean-Christophe Maillot at the 11th Shanghai International Art Festival, the show perfectly combines the abstraction of modern dance with reality. Maillot's dance gives each performer a soul with which to dance and makes the storyline more dramatic through its lack of content or roles. Steve Reich's music offers the dancers a free space to present aesthetics through their body language.
