9 trapped in elevator
Nine people - including a pregnant woman - were trapped in a high-rise apartment elevator for more than 40 minutes after the mechanical breakdown.
Residents of the apartment building in the Huangnanyuan community, in the Shijingshan district, in western Beijing were traveling up to the 15th floor when the failure occurred.
