Aspiring Shanghai Expo volunteer Cecilia Khouw sees next year's event as an instrumental platform of inspiration for people from developing nations to show what people can do when they put their minds to it.
"This is the first expo to be hosted by a developing country," said the 47-year-old housewife from Argentina. "I come from a developing country; China and Argentina are both developing countries, so it's very encouraging."
Though Argentina will be represented with a 2,000-sq-m pavilion at next year's expo, Khouw hopes her countrymen will pay closer attention to the China Pavilion.
