World media summit
The World Media Summit will open today in Beijing in an effort to explore ways of survival and development for the global media industry.
By Wednesday, 135 media organizations from 70 countries and regions confirmed attendance to the three-day summit, which is jointly launched by nine media organizations: Xinhua News Agency, News Corporation, AP, Reuters, ITAR-TASS, Kyodo News, BBC, Turner Broadcasting System and Google Inc.
