Insiders say emerging kungfu novelist Xu Haofeng is actually a longtime kungfu practitioner, but the author refuses to demonstrate his skills. And he has also brushed off all challenges from other kungfu practitioners.
"I'll always stick to the role of a kungfu novelist," he says, quietly.
"There's a tacit understanding between the kungfu community and me."
