NATO to get base access

Kyrgyzstan moved yesterday to allow French and Spanish troops to return to its Manas air base, a staging and refueling post for US-led military operations in Afghanistan - important to Washington and its allies because supply routes through Pakistan have been attacked by militants.

Kyrgystan cancelled deals with France and Spain in March, when it overturned a similar agreement with the United States on use of the base.
