Tsunamis strike Pacific islands; over 100 dead

APIA, Samoa: A series of tsunamis smashed into the Pacific island nations of American and Western Samoa, killing at least 113 people as they wiped out entire villages and flattened tourist resorts, officials and witnesses said yesterday.
