Record travelers
A record 565 million people are expected to be on the move during the National Day holiday, according to the country's transportation departments.
He Jianzhong, Ministry of Transport spokesman, said yesterday that 488 million trips would be made on the roads from Oct 1 to 8, up 6.8 percent over last year.
