'Port economy fair' underway

The 2009 China Nantong Port Economy Fair opens today in Jiangsu province to promote trade, technology and tourism.

Organized by Nantong city government and China Port Association, the fair will host government officials, experts, scholars and business leaders.

Agreements for over 50 projects worth a total of 35 billion yuan are expected to be signed between domestic and overseas businesses at the fair before it concludes on Sept 24.
