Profile of Mitsuru Maekawa
Mitsuru Maekawa earned his BSc in nuclear engineering from the University of Tokyo, followed by an master's and PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
In 1976, he joined the GE Nuclear Energy operation in Tokyo, serving as licensing engineer and nuclear fuel core management engineer.
In 1986, he became the scientific representative for Asia at GE Corporate Research and Development.
In 1988, he moved to GE Medical Systems with various roles in marketing, sales and customer services.
Before moving to Genpact Asia in Dalian, he was the general manager of Japan equipment sales, driving the Japan medical operation to be the market leader in the equipment market, beating tough local competitor Toshiba Medical Systems.
