Temple offers 1 m yuan for carving jade into statue

A temple in Wuhan, capital of Hubei province, will offer a reward of 1 million yuan ($146,378) to anyone who can carve a 3.2-ton Hetian jade into a Buddha statue.

The jade, which looks like a laughing Buddha, is 241 centimeters long, 175 cm wide and 83 cm high.
