Hummer deal uncertain

The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and Ministry of Commerce denied recent media reports that the Chinese government has given the green light for Sichuan Tengzhong's acquisition of Hummer from General Motors, Xinhua reported.

Both government offices confirmed they have received Tengzhong's acquisition appeal to buy Hummer's brand, not its stock and assets, but had not yet given the go-ahead for the deal, according to the news agency.
