Airline helps the needy

China's flagship carrier Air China will help collect funds for a public welfare foundation that buys medical insurance for poor children. The funds will be collected through its domestic website and in first and business cabins of long-haul international flights starting next month.

Set up by China Children and Teenager's Fund, the China Children Insurance Foundation says every $3 donated can provide $15,000 of protection towards a needy child for one year against critical illness and severe injuries.
