Germany's Robert Harting left it till the last of six throws to take the men's discus world title here on Wednesday in a thrilling contest.
The 24-year-old - a silver medalist two years ago - threw the discus 69.43 metres to send the German spectators into ecstasy.
Poland's Piotr Malachowski had led from the first round and must wonder what he did wrong to miss out on the title as he twice set new national records ending with a best of 69.15m and had to settle for silver just as he had done at the Olympics last year.
