UNESCO has proposed moving a major international seminar to Shanghai next year. The UN-led Urban Biosphere Project will discuss the challenges of urbanization, particularly focusing on urban management and innovative knowledge networks. Its goal is to push the concept of an 'eco-city', which centers on the harmonious development of economy, society and environment.
