Art magazine launch

Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Masters, a high-end art magazine, was launched yesterday in Beijing.

Designated as the official journal of the Central Research Institute of Culture and History, the monthly publication "is designed to promote classic and traditional Chinese art and to publicize artists well-versed in Chinese literature, history, calligraphy and painting," according to magazine editor-in-chief Zhao Derun.
