Lianyungang Special: Port proves spur for inland economic boom

Situated along China's east coast, Lianyungang, a city in the eastern Jiangsu province, has a history extending back more than 2,000 years.
Its modern incarnation, following 30 years of continuous growth since China's opening up and reform policies, has seen the city embrace a whole new range of contemporary challenges.
