HYDERABAD, India: A Malaysian team coach at the World Badminton Championships in Hyderabad, India, has been tested for H1N1 flu, an official said yesterday.

Jeremy Gan, a doubles coach, was admitted to hospital on Monday night after showing some symptoms of the (A)H1N1 virus, according to tournament secretary Punniah Chowdhury.

"He complained of throat pain and was also suffering from cold and fever," said Chowdhury. "It is not confirmed if it is a case of swine flu but we have to be on guard."
