Ancient town with modern mission

Zhenru is destined to rise above its reputation as a corner for farmers' markets and become a highly advanced industrial, technological and modern logistics base within the next 15 years.

The underdeveloped area in northwestern Shanghai will serve as the city's fourth major commercial center after Xujiahui, Wujiaochang and Huamu.

It will also add another iconic building to the city's ever-evolving landscape in the form of a 300-m-high office tower.
