Administration shrinks

The local administration will streamline departments from the current 46 to 31 by October 1 after getting the nod from the central government, according to a document released on Monday.

The new reform aims at optimizing the government operational system and improving public services, which will pave the way for the separation of decision-making, execution and supervision.
