Pistol, bullets recovered

A pistol and two bullets missing after an assault on a police officer earlier this week in Anhui province have been found, police said yesterday.

The gun and ammunition were abandoned at a local water works while a motorbike used by the suspects to escape was discovered at a train station, officials from the provincial department of public security said. Police found the items Wednesday night. Police are still hunting for the three suspects. Anyone who provides information leading to their capture will receive a 10,000 yuan ($1,460) reward.
