Manchester most burgled

Residents in Manchester suffer the most burglaries in England and Wales while those living in Teesdale in Durham have the fewest, according to figures from the Conservatives yesterday.

Based on statistics from 368 Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnerships, there were 7,167 domestic burglaries in Manchester from 2008-09 or the equivalent of 35 for every 1,000 households.
